We are really excited about our new service that allows Realtors and other folks in the real estate industry to use software like Internet Explorer with real estate forms or MLXchange®, Internet Explorer and forms software on their iPad. Many of these programs need Internet Explorer or other Windows programs to run.
We are recommending to our clients the purchase of Wyse PocketCloud Pro app from the iTunes App Store. It is available here.
Some users may want to try the Wyse Pocket Cloud free app first. The free app doesn’t work right for MLXchange, so we don’t support or recommend it.
Here is a quick tutorial showing you in just 13 steps how to download and configure the Wyse Pocket Cloud app and be running Windows programs like Internet Explorer with real estate forms or MLXchange® on your iPad in less than 5 minutes. (If you can’t stand reading all of this, just sneak down to step 12 to see what the finished product should look like)
You are going to need the following:
- An iPad
- WYSE PocketCloud PRO
- RealMobilePros service
1. Download the Wyse Pocket Cloud app from Apple’s iTunes Store. Search “Pocket Cloud” to find it. Again we recommend the “Pro” version.
2. Once you have that downloaded, just click on it to open and you should see a screen on the Wyse Pocketcloud app like the one below. Click on the “+” sign in the top right corner.
3. Select “Remote Desktop (RDP)” button.
4. Click on the “>” in the top corner next to nickname to assign an easy name.
5. Type in “realsocialpros” “Windows programs like Internet Explorer with real estate forms or MLXchange® on iPad” or whatever you want. Then press “Save” in the top right corner.
6. Click on the “>” arrow on the “host” line.
7. Here you MUST type in “ipad.realsocialpros.com”. Then press “Save” in the top right corner. (Do NOT put WWW in here anywhere.)
8. Ok, you are mostly done. You are almost ready to do your first search for a client on Windows programs like Internet Explorer with real estate forms or MLXchange® on your iPad. Click on the “>” arrow next to “Username”.
9. Type in the username that we have sent you by email. Then press “Save” in the top right corner.
10. Click on the “>” arrow next to “password”.
11. Type in the password exactly as we have sent you. Then press “Save” in the top right corner.
12. Now your configuration in the Wyse Pocket Cloud app should look REALLY similar to this. If so, press “Save” in the top right corner.
13. Now you should have a screen that looks something like this. Just click on realsocialpros and…
14. Your iPad should pop open your login page to Windows programs like Internet Explorer with real estate forms or MLXchange® on your iPad.
