Upload listing photos to MLXchange® with Mac using RealMobilePros service

Upload listing photos with MLXchange on Mac or MacBook 1I have gotten a couple of emails in the last few days about uploading listing photos to MLXchange® with a Mac using our cloud-based desktop service.

HOW DO I DO THIS??? I can’t access my pictures in my mac while using the cloud service .. there must be a way .. please do tell me!
Thank you

and this is another:

…Also, would I have complete functionality to print or to load listings?

My first reaction was to do what one user recommended, and just use Gmail to send the photos to myself, then upload them into MLXchange® but that wasn’t the best solution.

So here goes a sweet tutorial with images showing you how to do it the right way.

Tutorial: Upload Listing Photos to MLXchange® with Mac or Macbook

The first thing you need to do is start the RDP desktop client.  Then go up to the top menu and open “Preferences”  then click on the “Drives” tab and select “Documents Folder”.  (If you select “All drives” then all the drives your Mac has access to will be shared.  This is security risk I don’t really recommend.)

Click on the images below to see them in “HUGE”.  BTW, this is the default desktop for the upcoming Mountain Lion OS X from Apple.

The next step is to “Quit” RDP and save the settings.

Now reopen RDP again and open up “My Computer” on the remote desktop where you use MLXchange®.

Select the drive you just created down a the bottom, then click on “Tools” from the top menu.  Choose “Map Network Drive…”.  This is going to setup your drive to allow you easy access to your files in your “Documents” folder on your Mac or Macbook.

Now you just need to go to Microsoft Terminal Services, then \\tsclient, then select your documents folder.

I recommend that you select the “Reconnect at Login” box.  Your setup should look like the one below.

Now you should be able to save files or reports from MLXchange® or other Windows programs to your Mac.  You can also upload those photos from your Mac directly into MLXchange® using this connection.
